COVID19 RESPONSE: TELEHEALTH SESSIONS AVAILABLE
Medicare rebates are available when a GP has completed a GP Mental Health Care Plan. When assessed as eligible, you can receive Medicare rebates of up to 20 sessions (per calendar year), of $129.55 per session.
If you’ve hit your medicare safety net, then rebates will be significantly higher.
You must see your GP and obtain a Mental Health Care Plan before your first session with us, to be eligible for Medicare rebates.
Health insurance rebates are also possible under ‘extras’ cover. It is not possible to access both a Medicare rebate and a health insurance rebate for the same service, however you may choose to use your health insurance once you have used all ten Medicare sessions. Some people prefer to access services without a Medicare rebate, and no referral is necessary if choose not to receive a rebate.
The NDIS provides psychological support for those presently living with a disability. It may also provide support for their families, and carers as well. The NDIS funding category “Improved Daily Living” provides a way by which those who receive NDIS funding can pay the full fee for therapy and support delivered by us.
Rates and rebates vary depending on the type of service you require so please check whether your preferred psychologist charges fees as set out below before your first appointment.
