Positive Behaviour Support is about creating individualised strategies for people with disability that are responsive to the person’s needs, in a way that reduces and eliminates the need for the use of regulated restrictive practices.
Positive Behaviour Support focuses on evidence-based strategies and person-centred supports that address the needs of the person with disability and the underlying causes of behaviours of concern, while safeguarding the dignity and quality of life of people with disability who require specialist behaviour support - NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

Tanner Psychology will also complete the required NDIS Quality and Safeguard Commission portal work to ensure appropriate oversight of restrictive practices, whilst we safely fade them from use.
We will then conduct initial interviews with you, and/or relevant others, collect and collate relevant documentation, commence direct and/or indirect behavioural observations, and collect behavioural data.
This process typically takes us 10-25 hours.
If this exhausts your current NDIS funding, we will provide a letter to the NDIA to help fund the remaining steps.
If you have 35 or more NDIS hours, we provide a Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plan.
Lastly, your progress towards your goals will be measured and delivered to the NDIA in a comprehensive report.
The NDIS may provide Behavioural Support for participants presently living with a disability. If you have an NDIS Plan with either Improved Relationships or Independent Daily Living in your Capacity Building budget, we can help.
We work with Self Managed, Plan Managed, and NDIA Managed participants.
